Icelandic architects propose building homes from lava using robots: a concept for 2150
Icelandic architects Arnýrður Palmadottir and Arnar Skarfeoinsson have proposed using volcanic lava as a building material with the help of robots and 3D printing. The concept, presented at the 2025 Venice Biennale, could become a reality by 2150.
