Earth has a temporary moon: asteroid 2026 QQ8 captured by planet's gravity
The Minor Planet Center has confirmed: asteroid 2026 QQ8 has become a temporary Earth moon. The object, discovered in August, will orbit the planet until the end of December, posing no threat.
