On the night of July 19, Russian forces launched a ballistic strike on Kyiv. Impacts and falling debris were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi, Solomianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Desnyanskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi districts. As a result of the attack, residential buildings, office buildings, a supermarket, a dormitory, and vehicles were damaged. As of 9:00 AM, the number of casualties reached 15 people.
The consequences of the attack directly affected the functioning of the city's infrastructure. Due to damage to the overhead contact lines in certain areas, public transport routes have been altered. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration (Kyiv City Council).
Delays and Route Changes
Currently, movement is delayed for a significant number of routes. The list of affected routes includes:
- Trolleybuses No. 6, 16, 18, 19, 23, 28, 31, 33;
- Trams No. 14, 15, 18;
- Buses No. 2, 9, 50, and 112.
To ensure passenger mobility, the city administration has promptly adjusted transport operations. In particular, a temporary bus route No. 14-T was organized for passengers of trams No. 14 and No. 15. It runs from Otradnyi Avenue to the Degtiarevskyi overpass.
New Routes
The routes of several buses have also been changed:
- Route No. 35 now runs via Kadetskyi Hai, Chokolovskyi Boulevard, and Vadym Hetman Street, after which it returns to its usual route.
- Bus No. 2 travels along Vakhtang Kikabidze Street, Liubomyr Huzar Street, Vadym Hetman Street, and Shuliavska Street.
The Kyiv City Council emphasized that public transport operations will continue to be adjusted in accordance with the operational situation in the city. Passengers are advised to follow official announcements to receive up-to-date information on transport operations.
