On the night of October 24, the Ukraine Defense Forces struck a series of strategic facilities located within the territory of the Russian Federation. The Tolyattikauchuk plant in the Samara region, Proton-Electrotex JSC in Oryol, and a military aircraft at the Yeysk airfield in the Krasnodar Krai came under attack.

Strike on the Proton-Electrotex Plant in Oryol

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the nighttime attack resulted in a confirmed hit on the main production building of Proton-Electrotex JSC in Oryol, Oryol Oblast. This enterprise is a leading Russian manufacturer of full-cycle optoelectronic equipment, supplying components for various types of weapons. Specifically, the plant manufactures modules for S-71 "Kover" cruise missiles and inverter switches for 9M723 "Iskander-M" ballistic missiles.

Additionally, through industrial cooperation, the enterprise participates in the production of combat vehicles for the "Pantsir-S1" anti-aircraft missile and gun systems. The successful strike on these production capacities is expected to significantly complicate the manufacturing of components used to strike Ukrainian cities.

Attack on the Tolyattikauchuk Plant in the Samara Region

The second major MIC facility targeted was the Tolyattikauchuk plant in Tolyatti, Samara Oblast, Russia. Local residents and resources reported powerful explosions and a subsequent fire in the vicinity of the plant, while a drone attack threat was declared in the region early in the morning, temporarily suspending the local airport's operations.

The enterprise specializes in the production of synthetic rubbers, monomers, fractions, and high-octane gasoline additives. Synthetic rubber is of critical importance to the Russian defense industry as it is used to produce solid rocket propellant for tactical and ballistic missiles.

Damage to an Aircraft at the Yeysk Airfield

In addition to military-industrial enterprises, Ukrainian forces targeted the military airfield in Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai, Russia. The strike resulted in damage to an aircraft located there, although the exact extent of the damage is currently being clarified by specialized departments.

It is worth noting that the Tolyattikauchuk plant was previously targeted by Ukrainian drones last month. Regular strikes against raw material supply chains and microelectronics enterprises are aimed at systematically reducing the combat potential of the Russian missile program.

Significance of the Operation and Future Prospects

The nighttime strikes demonstrate the expansion of the geography and the deepening of targeted impact on facilities supporting Russia's military-industrial complex. Disruption of operations at enterprises such as Proton-Electrotex and Tolyattikauchuk directly affects supply chains for raw materials and components for missile weapons. Further developments will show how quickly the Russian MIC can restore damaged production capacities and logistics.
