According to the inspection results, the object did not pose an immediate explosion threat, although its origin required careful analysis.

Experts do not rule out that the found debris may be part of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that was discovered in this area just 24 hours ago. This suggests a possible series of incidents or the crash of a single large apparatus that broke into several parts. The find is located in close proximity to the site of the previous discovery, which strengthens the assumption of a link between the events.

On August 11, 2026, Romanian military forces destroyed two «Herber» type drones near the strategically important Neptun Deep offshore gas project. The drones were shot down approximately 90 nautical miles (more than 166 km) east of Constanta. Earlier, on July 31, Romanian authorities issued an emergency warning for residents of the northern part of Tulcea county due to the detection of drones near the Ukrainian border, which required the deployment of F-16 fighters to patrol the airspace.
