As of October 13, 2026, divergent price fluctuations are recorded in the Ukrainian fuel market. Major gas station networks continue to adjust their price tags under the influence of changing market conditions, logistics factors, and wholesale quotes. While local downward trends are emerging in the petrol and diesel segments among certain premium operators, the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) market continues to demonstrate steady price growth amid high demand and resource deficits.
LPG Price Dynamics
Significant changes have affected the LPG market, which is used by a substantial portion of Ukrainian drivers as a more affordable alternative to petrol. Major market players continue to revise prices upward. Specifically, the OKKO gas station network raised the price of auto gas by 1 hryvnia per liter at once, setting the figure at 48.90 UAH/l, making it higher than the offers of competitors WOG and SOCAR. A similar increase of 1 hryvnia was recorded in the UPG network, where gas is offered at 46.90 UAH/l. Against this background, the state-owned Ukrnafta network maintains the most attractive conditions for motorists, keeping the price tag at 44.90 UAH/l.
Correction of Petrol and Diesel Prices
At the same time, opposite trends are observed in the light petroleum products segment, expressed in targeted price reductions by some market participants. Thus, the premium refueling network SOCAR carried out a price correction, reducing the cost of petrol and diesel fuel by 1 hryvnia per liter at once. Following the revision, the baseline A-95 petrol fell in price to 94.90 UAH/l, while the high-octane premium product NANO 100 is now sold at 104.00 UAH/l. Other major players, such as WOG and Ukrnafta, decided to temporarily refrain from sharp movements, leaving current petrol and diesel price tags unchanged.
Contradictory Data
Analyzing the current price summary as of mid-October 2026, experts and specialized monitoring agencies note certain discrepancies in operational reports from various analytical platforms. While RBC-Ukraine monitoring data records a targeted decrease in the cost of light petroleum products by a separate premium operator SOCAR by 1 UAH/l and a simultaneous increase in gas prices in the OKKO network to 48.90 UAH/l, alternative independent sources in previous days reported sharper jumps in fuel costs in the regions, reaching three hryvnias per liter amid logistical difficulties. Such discrepancies are explained by the different frequency of price list updates in regional branches of large vertically integrated networks and the uneven distribution of fuel balances on the ground.
Expert Assessments and Market Prospects
Fuel market experts emphasize that the current situation reflects the overall instability of import supplies and the volatility of global oil prices. The rise in the price of auto gas is due to the reorientation of logistics routes and a reduction in the volume of resource inflows from neighboring European countries. Drivers are advised to closely monitor daily updates on gas station boards and plan trips taking into account the pricing policy of various operators. In the near future, analysts do not forecast a large-scale drop in LPG prices, while the petrol and diesel market will remain in a zone of relative price equilibrium provided current supply volumes are maintained.
