On October 7, 2026, a violent raid took place at the Borivazh grain terminal in the Odesa region. About 400 armed individuals in trucks rammed the enterprise's gates, using firearms, cold weapons, and rebar against the security guards. The incident occurred just a week after the legal owner, LLC Agroterminal Logistic, regained control of the complex following court decisions of the highest instances. As a result of the assault, there are severely injured individuals, and at least one guard was hospitalized.
Chronology of the conflict and court decisions
The background of the confrontation lies in legal disputes over property rights to a major logistics facility. Back on June 30, 2026, the Commercial Court of Kyiv in case No. 910/11034/24 (910/14853/25) ruled to invalidate the lease agreement with LLC Terminal Borivazh, obligating the company to return the property to the owner. On September 17, the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal confirmed the legality of this decision, after which the terminal was officially returned to the owner on September 29 under the supervision of the State Security Service and over a hundred law enforcement officers.
Assault details and the owner's position
However, by October 7, the situation changed dramatically. According to Oleksandr Irtyugo, director of LLC Agroterminal Logistic, the attackers acted extremely aggressively: they beat the guards and cleared the way for Serhii Frolov, the honorary CEO of the former tenant company, to immediately take over the director's office. The management of Agroterminal Logistic qualifies the incident as an outright raider takeover and an attempt to forcefully annul court decisions that had entered into force.
Questions for law enforcement and potential controversies
Special attention in the statement of the affected company's management is paid to the passive reaction of the security forces. Despite an emergency call to the patrol police and the KORD special unit, no active measures were taken to stop the seizure. The company claims that the Samson security structure, allegedly with long-standing ties to the regional police leadership, is involved in the attack. In this regard, the owners demand that the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) conduct a thorough investigation into possible abuses and inaction by law enforcement agencies.
