Amidst the ongoing mobilization in Ukraine, the digital screening system designed to simplify the process of obtaining deferments has encountered technical difficulties. The automatic extension of preferential status may fail if outdated data or errors exist in state registries. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the Ministry of Defense press service.

Technical failures in the system

Currently, the automatic data verification covers 22 categories of citizens entitled to deferment. This list includes persons with disabilities, students, teachers, and parents of large families. However, the mechanism works correctly only if the information in the databases is up to date. If the data is outdated or was entered with errors, the citizen's status will not be updated automatically, even if the grounds for deferment remain.

Who faces problems most often

According to the department, the following categories of citizens most often face difficulties with automatic extension:

  • Persons with disabilities, if the data in the Pension Fund registry has not been updated.
  • Students whose study status was not confirmed in the system in a timely manner.
  • Parents of large families whose number of children has changed.
  • Teachers and other categories whose information in the registries requires verification.

What to do if the deferment was not extended

Conscripts are strongly advised to check the accuracy of their full name and identification codes in state systems. Special attention should be paid to the availability of current information about disability in the registries of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

It is important to understand: if the automatic extension via the "Reserve+" app or through the CNAP (Public Service Centers) did not occur, it does not mean that the person has lost the right to deferment. To resolve the issue, two steps must be taken:

  1. Check and correct data in the relevant state registries.
  2. Contact the Territorial Recruitment and Mobilization Department (TRMD) to confirm the status manually by providing the necessary documents.

Changes in the application submission procedure

The Ministry of Defense has emphasized that under current rules, citizens no longer submit applications for obtaining or extending deferments to the TRMD in the traditional paper form. The entire procedure must be carried out through digital channels. However, in the event of failures in the automation system, a personal visit to the military commissariat remains the only way to restore justice and confirm one's rights.

Previously, the Ministry of Defense clarified the differences between deferments and protection (bronirovanie), but technical nuances of registry operations remain a key factor affecting the availability of benefits for citizens.
