We are talking about signal repeaters that boost the radio signal for Russian strike UAVs during air attacks on the western regions of Ukraine.

As stated by SBGSU spokesperson Andrii Demchenko on the Den.LIVE broadcast, the Belarusian side periodically deploys equipment that helps Russian drones cover long distances and more accurately correct their course. According to him, such actions are recorded at moments when the aggressor strikes the western oblasts of Ukraine, approaching the borders of the European Union. Despite this, Ukrainian border guards do not yet record the formation of strike groups, personnel build-up, or large-scale movement of military equipment directly near the state border with Belarus.

Back in June, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly appealed to the leadership of Belarus demanding the dismantling of these transmission devices, giving just one week to complete the task. The Head of State emphasized that otherwise, Ukraine reserves the right to destroy these objects independently. A few days after the ultimatum, Belarusian media reported the cessation of UAV flights along the border, and Zelenskyy himself later confirmed the temporary shutdown of the repeaters.

Official statements from Ukrainian departments and the expert community differ in their assessments of the current scale of the threat, yet they confirm the trend itself. Thus, the Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Oleh Ivashchenko explicitly stated the resumption of transmitter operations, emphasizing that Ukraine has all the necessary capabilities to neutralize this danger. At the same time, military expert and Advisor to the Minister of Defense Serhii 'Flash' Beskrestnov repeatedly noted the technological dependence of Russian raids on Belarusian communication infrastructure.

The use of the neighboring state's infrastructure to support kamikaze drone strikes creates additional security risks for the western regions of Ukraine and neighboring EU countries. Military analysts point out that signal amplification allows UAVs to bypass Ukrainian electronic warfare systems and change routes.
