A tragedy occurred in the village of Khmelnitskoye, located on the peninsula temporarily occupied by Russian troops. A Russian serviceman opened fire, resulting in the deaths of four people — three civilians and one soldier. Several others were injured.
Timeline of the tragedy
According to Mikhail Razvozhayev, head of the occupation administration of Sevastopol, the incident began when the soldier opened fire on his comrades. In this shootout, one serviceman was killed, and another was wounded.
After this, the shooter continued firing, causing harm to the civilian population. As a result of his actions, three civilians were killed: a 71-year-old man, a 59-year-old man, and a 64-year-old woman. It is also known that three others were injured and received emergency medical assistance.
Reaction of the occupation authorities
Mikhail Razvozhayev reported that the shooter has already been detained. Operational services, investigators, and forensic experts are working at the scene to determine the circumstances and causes of the incident.
Despite the tragic nature of the events, the head of the administration called on the residents of the peninsula to "remain calm." According to him, doctors are doing everything possible to save the lives of the injured.

This incident occurs against the backdrop of reports about a planned large-scale purge in Crimea, as previously reported by RBK-Ukraine. Additionally, strikes on Russian ground targets in the region are being recorded, including the use of new systems such as Magura from the GUR.
