Ukrainian drones struck the LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez refinery in Perm and the Marinovka airbase in the Volgograd region at night; the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the destruction of an Su-34. Explosions occurred over Crimea.

On the night of August 21, a series of explosions rocked occupied Crimea; over 15 consecutive strikes were recorded near Simferopol and the Tavricheskaya TPP. A number of settlements on the peninsula were left without electricity.

Russian military forces have received a new batch of Pantsir-S SAM systems and stationary Pantsir-SMD/SMP complexes with a combined ammunition load of up to 48 missiles. The delivery occurs against the backdrop of reports of Ukrainian drone strikes on air defense assets in Crimea and the south.

On the night of August 20, following explosions in Sevastopol, Sevastopol, Simferopol and Dzhankoy were left without power. Strikes on a CHP and energy facilities are reported; the "Crimean authorities" have issued no official comments.
