On the night of August 1, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a large-scale series of strikes on key military facilities of the Russian Federation. The targets were strategically important points in occupied Crimea, as well as on temporarily occupied territories in southern Ukraine. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially confirmed the information about the work done.
Disruption of Logistics Chains
Ukrainian military forces paid special attention to severing transport links connecting the Crimean Peninsula with the mainland. Two critically important railway bridges were hit. One of them is the "Sivash" bridge in the Chongar area, and the second is in the vicinity of the settlement of Vladislavovka.
According to military data, these structures are the main arteries for Russian military logistics. They are used to transfer personnel, combat vehicles, weapons, and ammunition between Crimea and the occupied territories of southern Ukraine. Their damage significantly hinders the ability of the enemy to "throw" reserves.
Strikes on the Fleet and Warehouses
Significant damage was also inflicted on the aggressor's naval forces. In the area of Chernomorsk in Crimea, a formation of unmanned naval boats was hit. According to General Staff information, Russian troops stored, prepared, and serviced unmanned boats at this base, which are used to carry out combat and special tasks in the Black Sea area.
Also, during the operation, the following objects were destroyed or damaged:
- Electronic reconnaissance unit of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol;
- Repair and restoration base in the Pervomaisk district;
- Material and technical supplies warehouse near the settlement of Podovoye on the occupied territory of the Kherson region;
- Unmanned aerial vehicle warehouse in the Tokmak area of the Zaporizhzhia region.
Consequences of Attacks in Cities
Along with strikes on military facilities, OSINT communities recorded drone attacks on a number of occupied cities. Zuhres, Berdyansk, Luhansk, Dolzhansk, and Sevastopol were hit.
Preliminary data indicates that energy infrastructure facilities were damaged in these settlements. The attacks resulted in fires and power outages in several cities.
General Staff Position
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that such actions will continue. "The Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue to systematically carry out activities aimed at stopping the armed aggression of the Russian Federation," the department stated.
