As of the morning of October 1, a relative calm is observed in the Ukrainian fuel market. Average retail prices for automotive fuel at key filling station chains remain stable and do not show sharp jumps compared to previous reporting periods. Nevertheless, the general price bar remains at a high level, and in a number of premium networks, the cost of certain fuel grades has already crossed the psychological mark of 100 hryvnias per liter.
Pricing Policy of Premium Market Operators
Leaders in terms of prices traditionally remain large network brands focused on the premium segment of car owners. The SOCAR network on this day holds the highest price tags in the country: premium grades of gasoline and diesel fuel are sold at 104 hryvnias per liter. Standard А-95 gasoline in this network trades in the range from 94.90 to 97.90 hryvnias per liter, which creates additional pressure on the wallets of drivers who prefer imported high-quality fuel.
Situation at OKKO and WOG Gas Stations
Slightly more modest, but still at high positions, prices are held by other major market players — in the OKKO and WOG networks. Here, premium gasoline and diesel fuel are offered at a single price of 102.90 hryvnias per liter. At the same time, regular А-95 gasoline at these filling stations will cost motorists within 92.90–95.90 hryvnias per liter, reflecting the general trend of a price plateau in the Ukrainian fuel market.
Where to Look for the Best Offers
For drivers seeking to optimize their transport costs, discounters and state-participating networks remain more attractive. In particular, the lowest prices as of October 1 are recorded at UPG filling stations, as well as in the state-owned Ukrnafta network. Here, even premium grades of diesel fuel are kept below the critical psychological mark, amounting to 99.90 hryvnias per liter. Regular А-95 gasoline at these stations can be purchased at a price of 88.90 to 91.90 hryvnias per liter, which allows for significant savings when completely filling the tank.
