The Russian Federation continues to carry out covert mobilization of the population, which is directly confirmed by the continuous growth of enemy personnel at the front line and a sharp surge in recorded sanitary and irreversible losses. This is evidenced by detailed analytical data released in early October 2026 by the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert 'Magyar' Brovdi.

Dynamics of losses growth at the front

According to the published information, in the first five days of October alone, USF units recorded 2,699 verified losses of Russian manpower. For objective comparison: for the same period in September, this figure was 1,931 servicemen, demonstrating a monthly increase of 39.7%. The difference with August figures looks even larger: at the beginning of August, 1,529 losses were recorded, and the October jump was immediately 76.5%.

Analysis of the situation in the Dobropillia-Pokrovsk direction

The most significant increase in enemy losses was recorded in the zone of responsibility of the 'Azov' troop grouping, specifically in the area of operation of the 1st National Guard Corps. In the first five days of October, 1,268 enemy losses were recorded there. In September for the same period, this figure was 884 (a 43% increase), and in August — 664 (a 91% increase). The USF Commander stressed that the presented statistics are based exclusively on mathematical accounting and analysis of unmanned systems operations, excluding results from other branches of the military.

Contradictory data

While official Russian structures announce a planned autumn conscription for regular service of about 120,000 people starting October 10, the Ukrainian side and independent monitoring data indicate large-scale covert processes. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously stated the actual start of additional covert mobilization through enhanced recruitment and hidden army replenishment mechanisms. At the same time, open-source analytical estimates mention the Kremlin's plans to prepare significantly larger contingents for future offensive operations, which contrasts with official regular draft figures.

Conclusions and context of covert mobilization

The presented statistical data confirm that the Kremlin is actively building up its military potential at the frontline, bypassing open general mobilization. The intensity of hostilities and the volume of involved human resources continue to grow, creating additional tension in key sectors of the front, which is clearly recorded by the objective control assets of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
