The Deadliner Q15-30 fiber-optic FPV drone, developed by the Ukrainian company Stellarion, has officially completed the codification procedure at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Codification means that within the coming weeks the drone will become available for order by Defense Forces units through the state procurement platforms Brave1 Market and DOT-Chain, paving the way for serial equipping of combat units with this model.

The Deadliner Q15-30 is designed to carry out missions at a range of up to 30 km and is capable of carrying a payload of up to 3 kg. The autonomous flight time is at least 30 minutes, the cruise speed is 65 km/h, and the maximum speed is 110 km/h. The airframe is equipped with a camera featuring two shooting modes — day and thermal imaging — which allows the drone to be used around the clock, regardless of weather conditions and time of day. Particular attention should be paid to the option of choosing the video channel configuration: a unit can order either an analog or a digital image transmission variant, adapting the model to specific tactical tasks.
Fiber optics as a response to electronic warfare
The key advantage of the Deadliner Q15-30 is the use of a fiber-optic communication channel. Unlike radio-channel FPV drones, a fiber-optic line is virtually immune to suppression by electronic warfare (EW) means, which makes the drone resilient in conditions where traditional unmanned aircraft lose control. "We are currently working on codifying Deadliner models with a range of 35 and 40 km to give units a wider choice of drones for different combat tasks," the source stated. This indicates the manufacturer's strategic course toward forming a complete lineup of fiber-optic FPV drones covering various range tasks — from close infantry escort to strikes on distant targets.
