On the night of October 25, 2026, Russian forces launched a massive attack using strike drones against Vinnytsia and the Vinnytsia region. As a result of the hostile strikes, civilian infrastructure damage was recorded, affecting an industrial facility and a private household, while power supply disruptions occurred in the regional capital and surrounding areas.
Aftermath of the Night Strike on Vinnytsia Region
Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration Natalia Zabolotna confirmed the information about the night attack via her Telegram channel. According to her, enemy forces targeted civilian locations. An industrial facility and a private residential building sustained damage, though according to operational data from relevant agencies, no casualties among the population have been reported.
Units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) and specialized emergency services immediately deployed to the impact sites. Rescuers are eliminating the consequences of the destruction and carrying out necessary preventive measures at the damaged locations.
Air Force Response and Power Supply Situation
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, repeated entries of jet drones into the airspace of the Vinnytsia region were recorded overnight, followed by explosions heard in the regional center. In the morning, local residents reported via regional Telegram channels that electricity had disappeared in several districts of the city.
It is worth noting that the region's energy infrastructure was also targeted the previous evening on October 24. At that time, a hit on one of the energy facilities led to an emergency power outage in a separate district of the region. Repair crews of energy workers and rescuers are working around the clock to restore stable power supplies.
Consequence Management and Further Measures
The situation in the region remains under the control of local authorities, although the scale of damage to the energy infrastructure requires extensive restoration work. Restoring stable power supplies in Vinnytsia and the regional districts is complicated by the threat of renewed air attacks, but municipal and emergency services have engaged all reserve capacities.
