Throughout the current day, the Khmelnytskyi region has faced another massive attack by enemy strike drones. As a result of night and morning raids, civilian infrastructure has suffered serious destruction, including damage to one of the regional medical centers. According to local authorities, the attack caused structural damage and panic among patients.
Details of the Night and Morning Strike
According to Serhiy Tyurin, the head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, during one of the waves of air strikes, the blast wave and debris damaged the windows and entrance group of the medical facility. In addition, vehicles parked on the hospital grounds were damaged. Emergency services and rescue teams promptly began working at the scene to assess the scale of the destruction.
Casualties and Medical Assistance
At the time of the strike, patients receiving inpatient treatment were inside the building. According to preliminary data, four patients sustained minor injuries and cuts from blown-out glass. Medical personnel promptly provided the victims with necessary assistance on the spot; there is no threat to their lives. Fortunately, no information about fatalities was received, but the incident caused severe stress among citizens undergoing treatment.
Chronology of the Air Raid Alert
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the movement of enemy strike assets was recorded from early morning. Around 4:30 AM, the military reported the movement of jet drones traveling through the Vinnytsia region toward Khmelnytskyi. Later, after 8:00 AM, monitoring channels recorded another jet drone flying in the Letychiv area in a northwestern direction.
Systemic Attacks on Civilian Infrastructure
This incident continues the sad trend of systematic strikes on Ukraine's medical facilities by Russian troops. Recall that previously, similar attacks targeted hospitals in Zaporizhzhia, where people had to be urgently evacuated due to a fire, as well as the large-scale shelling of a children's hospital in Kyiv in August. Experts qualify these actions as a gross violation of international humanitarian law.
