The Ukrainian delegation, together with evacuated residents of the temporarily occupied town of Oleshky in the Kherson region, has left the settlement and headed toward Anapa. This was announced by David Arakhamia, head of the Servant of the People faction, who reported on the progress of the humanitarian operation unfolding in the declared ceasefire zone. According to him, at this very moment, a convoy carrying evacuated residents and representatives of the Ukrainian side has begun moving along a route leading through territory controlled by the adversary.
Evacuation route: via Anapa and Belarus
David Arakhamia clarified the details of the further logistics: from Anapa, the evacuated residents of Oleshky will fly by plane to Belarus, after which they will travel by bus to their homes in territory controlled by Ukraine. Such a multi-stage route passing through two foreign states indicates the complex logistics required to coordinate the humanitarian corridor amid the ongoing conflict. Photographs from the scene show a white bus with an "UKRAINE" sign attached to the windshield — presumably, such vehicles will be used to transport the evacuees on the final leg of the journey.
Ceasefire regime and its parameters
The humanitarian operation in Oleshky became possible thanks to the ceasefire declared on October 27 near the temporarily occupied settlement in the Kherson region. According to the terms established for this "silence" period, it provides for the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians, as well as the preparation and execution of population evacuation. The ceasefire is set to remain in effect until 10:59 PM on November 1, 2026 — lasting several days, which creates a strict timeframe for completing all stages of the operation.
Route preparation: demining completed
A key stage in preparing for the humanitarian mission was the demining of routes necessary for the passage of the aid convoy and the evacuation of people. This was previously reported by Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets, who confirmed that path-clearing work has been completed. It was only after this that the arrival of the Ukrainian delegation in Oleshky became possible, as David Arakhamia reported on the morning of the evacuation. Simultaneously with the removal of residents, the distribution of humanitarian aid to the remaining civilians began in the settlement.
Context: what is known about the humanitarian mission
The operation in Oleshky represents one of the few humanitarian actions recorded in the current period carried out under a declared local truce. The combination of facts — the completion of demining, the arrival of the delegation, the start of aid distribution, and the actual removal of residents — indicates that the mechanism agreed upon within the framework of the silence regime is functioning.
