Ukraine is preparing the infrastructure to receive the first group of civilians being evacuated from temporarily occupied Oleshky. This was announced during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada by Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretsky, RBC-Ukraine reports. According to him, the removal of people will be carried out via a complex logistics route that will pass through the territory of Belarus with a subsequent crossing of the state border of Ukraine.

Route through Belarus

As the head of government explained, the evacuated citizens are following a multi-stage path: first they arrive in the territory of Belarus, and from Belarus they cross the customs border of Ukraine. Koretsky emphasized that precisely such a complex route necessitates careful preparation at every stage — from traffic organization to border control and providing people with basic necessities immediately upon entry.

Medical Control at Every Stage

Before departure, all citizens undergo a mandatory initial medical examination. According to the prime minister, by 14:00 on the day of the speech, it was planned to complete the preliminary medical check of those departing for the territory controlled by Ukraine. The inspection results, including personal files and health status data, are being transferred to the Ministry of Health to prepare for their meeting and further escort. Repeated examinations and the provision of primary medical care are already provided for on the territory of Ukraine.

Infrastructure in Chernihiv and Kyiv Region

The necessary infrastructure has been prepared in two regions to meet the evacuees — in Chernihiv and the Kyiv region. It is there, according to Koretsky, that repeated medical examinations and the provision of primary medical aid will take place, as well as providing people with everything necessary at first: clothing and sanitary items. The government and local authorities, he stated, have already fully prepared premises for the accommodation of evacuated residents of Oleshky in various regions of Ukraine.

Accommodation and Further Support

After passing all primary procedures, receiving medical assistance, and being provided with basic necessities, citizens will be sent to temporary accommodation sites. Thus, the evacuation mechanism from Oleshky is structured as a sequential chain: medical control before departure, transit through Belarus, re-examination and assistance at the border in Chernihiv and the Kyiv region, and then placement in prepared regions. It was previously reported that a delegation from Ukraine reached Oleshky and the evacuation has begun.
