On the night of August 24–25, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones. By 09:00, air defense forces had neutralized 124 UAVs, impacts were recorded at 17 locations, and a border crossing on the Moldovan border was temporarily closed.

Following an attack by Russian strike drones, the "Vinogradovka – Vulcani" crossing point on the Ukraine-Moldova border has been temporarily suspended. The infrastructure was damaged, and traffic and customs procedures have been halted.

Human rights defenders documented complaints in 17 regions of Russia about detentions and coercion into signing contracts with the Ministry of Defense. Against the backdrop of mobilization rumors, a record outflow of citizens through border crossings was recorded.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Germany advises obtaining a border crossing stamp in the passport: without the mark, problems may arise when applying for temporary protection in the EU under the new Council Decision 2026/1912.
