The National Bank of Ukraine has set official foreign exchange rates for Friday, October 23, 2026. The regulator recorded a divergent trend: the US dollar showed moderate growth, while the European currency, conversely, showed a decrease in value against the hryvnia. These changes reflect the current policy of the central bank and market trends in late October.

The spread in exchange offices may reach 60 kopecks to 1 hryvnia for the dollar and 1–1.30 UAH for the euro. Additionally, it is expected that the difference between cash purchase rates will be 30–50 kopecks for the dollar in exchange offices and 20–30 kopecks in banks. The average gap between interbank and cash market rates is estimated by the analyst at 10–15 kopecks.
Economic Significance and Outlook
Current exchange rate fluctuations occur against the backdrop of discussions regarding the long-term prospects of the national currency. Financial analysts note that exchange rate dynamics in the coming months will depend directly on the volume of international financial assistance and the effectiveness of NBU policy in maintaining stability. While official figures remain near the 45 UAH/dollar mark, the expert community continues to evaluate scenarios for the dollar potentially reaching new price levels in the winter period.
