On the night of August 1, the capital of Ukraine was subjected to a massive missile attack. As a result of the strikes on the city, critical infrastructure facilities were damaged, including healthcare enterprises. Particular attention from the media and the public was drawn to the incident at the premises of the company 'Kyivmedspetstrans', where a powerful fire broke out.
Strike on the ambulance base
Russian forces struck the territory of 'Kyivmedspetstrans' twice. As a result of the attack, a large-scale fire broke out at the enterprise, engulfing vehicle fleets and service premises. According to preliminary data, the fire destroyed five ambulances, which burned to the ground. Another 20 vehicles servicing the capital's healthcare facilities sustained serious damage.
Destruction and rescue operations
In addition to the equipment, the enterprise buildings were also damaged. Four structures sustained partial destruction, and several other rooms were damaged to varying degrees. Emergency rescue services are working at the scene to extinguish the fire and deal with the aftermath of the attack. Fortunately, no employees were injured as a result of the strike on the base.

The night attack on Ukraine was unprecedented in the number of munitions used. Russia fired 35 missiles and 185 strike drones at the country. The main direction of the strike was the Kyiv region, while Kyiv itself was subjected to a massive bombardment by ballistic missiles.
Destruction and fires were recorded in five districts of the capital: Solomianskyi, Darnytskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Pecherskyi. Nine people were killed, and another 30 were injured, including four children.
