In October 2026, the Ukrainian fuel market recorded a noticeable increase in retail prices at filling stations. According to RBC-Ukraine monitoring, the sharpest price hike for the month affected liquefied petroleum gas (autogas): its average cost jumped by UAH 14.00–14.40 per liter, making autogas the most volatile segment among all fuel types. Diesel fuel added from UAH 5.00 to 7.00 per liter, with premium grades crossing the psychological threshold of UAH 110 per liter. Meanwhile, the gasoline segment proved to be the most resilient to market fluctuations, with prices remaining unchanged throughout the month across several major networks.

Autogas: a 14-hryvnia jump in top networks

The autogas segment showed the sharpest increase in October. In top networks OKKO, WOG, and SOCAR, the price for gas rose from UAH 45.50/l to UAH 59.90/l, representing a UAH 14.40/l increase over the month. In lower-tier pricing networks — Ukrnafta and UPG — gas went up by UAH 14.00/l, reaching UAH 56.90/l and UAH 57.90/l, respectively. Thus, in just one month, the cost of refueling with autogas increased by more than a third in absolute terms, significantly raising the financial burden on LPG vehicle owners.

Diesel crosses the UAH 110 mark

Diesel fuel added UAH 5.00 to 7.00 per liter in October. At OKKO and WOG stations, both standard Euro diesel (UAH 106.90/l) and premium grades Pulls/Mustang (UAH 109.90/l) simultaneously rose by UAH 7.00/l. The SOCAR network raised the price of NANO Extro diesel by UAH 7.00/l to a record UAH 111.00/l, while standard NANO added UAH 5.00/l to reach UAH 108.00/l. Ukrnafta and UPG also adjusted their price tags upward by UAH 5.00–6.00/l, with basic diesel priced at UAH 102.90/l. As a result, premium diesel firmly settled above UAH 110 per liter for the first time in this cycle.

Gasoline proved to be the most stable segment

Unlike gas and diesel, gasoline prices remained almost motionless in October. OKKO, WOG, and Ukrnafta went through the entire month without changing gasoline price tags: A-95 Euro held at UAH 92.90/l (Ukrnafta at UAH 88.90/l), and branded 95 at UAH 95.90/l (Ukrnafta at UAH 91.90/l). Only SOCAR and UPG implemented a targeted uniform increase of UAH 1.00/l across all positions (A-95, premium 95, and 100 grades). This indicates that pressure on retail prices in October was concentrated primarily in the gas and diesel segments.

Dynamics: October continues the upward trend

The October price hike was a continuation of a broader upward trend in the retail fuel market observed throughout the year. According to Enkorr data, by mid-October, average retail prices continued to rise: diesel added UAH 0.5–2/l in certain networks (up to UAH 103/l at Neftek, up to UAH 104/l at SOCAR), A-95 gasoline went up by UAH 1–2/l in several networks, and liquefied gas rose by UAH 1.11/l to an average of UAH 48.28/l across the market. By the end of the month, according to RBC-Ukraine monitoring, these processes gained momentum, which reflected in record-high seasonal prices for gas and diesel.

What this means for consumers

The outcome of October is a redistribution of the burden: LPG vehicle owners faced the most tangible increase in refueling costs, diesel drivers saw prices surpass UAH 110 in premium grades, while gasoline car users experienced no changes in most networks. Market experts and analysts whose data formed the basis of the monitoring note that further dynamics will depend on wholesale quotes, exchange rates, and seasonal demand. For consumers, the practical conclusion is clear: when planning fuel expenses for November, one should budget for higher prices specifically for gas and diesel, while gasoline maintains relative stability for now.
