The Government of the Russian Federation is developing a comprehensive plan to transform the 'Gosuslugi' portal. The strategy, projected until 2035, envisions turning the familiar platform for interacting with the state into a full-fledged digital ecosystem. Under the new concept, the service will acquire features previously characteristic exclusively of commercial social networks and entertainment aggregators.

Social Network and Family Services

A key element of the update will be the introduction of an embedded social network. Users will gain access to a personal news feed, the ability to create thematic communities, and view current information. Furthermore, the platform could become an aggregator for cultural and sporting events, combining administrative functions with leisure activities.

Developers are paying special attention to the family segment. The launch of specialized tools is planned, such as trusted chats for close relatives and shared event calendars. A function for ordering state services on behalf of others is also provided, which will simplify interaction with bureaucracy for the elderly or those who cannot visit the department in person.

Loyalty System and Verification

To increase citizen engagement, the portal plans to implement an achievement system. User activity will be rewarded with bonuses from ecosystem partners. The office of Vice Premier Dmitry Grigorenko emphasized that the main competitive advantage of the new format will be the full verification of the identity of each participant, which will eliminate the anonymity characteristic of open social networks.

Expert Opinion

The innovations open up broad opportunities for businesses and charitable foundations, providing them with access to a huge audience of verified users. However, the expert community insists on the need for strict protection against spam and ensuring the absolute voluntary nature of participation in new services, so as not to turn the portal into an intrusive communication tool.
