Threat of extreme heat in the western part of the country
On August 1, a sharp rise in temperature is expected in Ukraine. According to the forecast by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, cited by RBC-Ukraine, thermometers in several regions will reach critical values. In some places, especially in the western regions, the air temperature will reach +35...+37°C. Meteorologists warn that this will be a period of intense heat, requiring the population to take safety precautions.
In the rest of the country, warm weather is also forecast, although the figures will be more moderate. During the day, the air temperature will range from +27°C to +32°C. Despite the high temperature, precipitation is not expected on this day. The sky will be predominantly clear with slight cloudiness.
Weather in Kyiv and the region
The capital of Ukraine and the Kyiv region will also fall into the zone of hot air. Slight cloudiness is forecast in Kyiv, but rain and thunderstorms are ruled out for this day. The temperature in the city will correspond to the average figures for the country, remaining in a comfortable but warm range.
Debunking rumors of frost
In recent days, reports have circulated in the information space about the possible onset of night frosts in August. Meteorologists have categorically refuted this information, calling such rumors unreliable. Experts assured that abnormally low temperatures are not expected during this period.
Specialists also commented on the prospects for the near future, noting that the issue of the likelihood of drought and prolonged heat remains relevant for monitoring. At the moment, the main forecast for August 1 is the absence of precipitation and significant warming.
