The Ukrainian men's volleyball team has achieved a true feat, qualifying for the playoff stage of the 2026 Volleyball Nations League for the first time in their history. This result was the outcome of a tense battle on the final day of the group stage and marked a new level of development for Ukrainian volleyball.

The fate of the ticket to the decisive round was decided at the last minute. To advance to the playoffs, the Ukrainians needed not only their own effort but also help from their tournament partners. In a parallel match, the reigning Olympic champions from France crushed the Bulgarian team with a score of 3:0 (25:21, 25:22, 25:21).
