Popular nutritionist Victoria Radostnaya has presented an original and simple recipe for a homemade pizza featuring increased protein content, cooked right in a frying pan. Instead of traditional flour dough, the specialist suggested using an unexpected and healthy alternative that makes the dish filling and nutritious.
Recipe essence and cooking secrets
To create this unusual pizza, chicken mince is used as the base. It must first be salted, seasoned with your favorite spices, and thoroughly mixed. A preheated frying pan is filled with the mince, shaping it into a thin pancake. Under a closed lid, the base is fried until a golden crust appears, after which it is carefully flipped.
As a sauce, the nutritionist uses natural yogurt, applied in a thin layer onto the finished chicken base. Slices or pieces of cheese, fresh tomatoes, and a little corn are laid on top. The dish is brought to readiness under a lid for five to seven minutes until the cheese melts completely. If desired, one chicken egg can be added to the mince, which will increase the firmness of the base and prevent it from falling apart when flipped.
The benefits of protein and its role in the diet
Protein is a vital building block for the human body, necessary for repairing muscle tissue as well as producing hormones and enzymes. The European Food Safety Authority recommends adults consume about 0.83 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight daily, although individual needs may vary depending on physical activity.
Contradictory data
Despite the fact that this recipe is positioned as high-protein and beneficial for supporters of balanced nutrition, experts' opinions regarding the calorie content of such dishes diverge. Some experts emphasize that the name "protein pizza" does not automatically make the dish dietary, since the final nutritional value directly depends on the amount of cheese, sauce, and the fat content of the meat base. At the same time, supporters of the method argue that high protein content effectively prolongs the feeling of satiety and helps control appetite.
