Exclusive images have surfaced online, revealing Intel's new official branding for its upcoming desktop processor lineup, codenamed Nova Lake-S. The published logos confirm that the next generation of chips will be designated as Core Ultra Series 4 and will launch as part of the Core Ultra 400 family. This marks the first time we can see firsthand how the visual style of Intel processor labeling will change.
Videocardz shared these images with us and also provided details on the release timeline for the upcoming products. The first models to hit the market will be 28-core versions in a special DS (Dual-tile) configuration (two-die configurations with a locked multiplier). They are expected to be available between late January and March 2027.
Release Schedule
Following the initial models, by April 2027, similar chips with unlocked multipliers, as well as 16-core and 8-core solutions, will be released. The 52-core processors in the DS configuration will be the last to arrive; their release is scheduled for sometime between late May and September.
Consequently, users will have the opportunity to choose a processor that fits their needs, ranging from compact 8-core solutions to powerful 52-core monsters. The new Intel Core Ultra Series 4 branding will symbolize the company's evolution in the world of desktop processors.
