In the city of Kamianske in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, an official police vehicle ran over a local resident who, during a conflict with patrol officers, lay down on the asphalt under the wheels of the car. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing an official statement from the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast police. According to law enforcement, the incident occurred on September 1 and has already become the subject of an internal investigation.

Circumstances of the incident

According to the police statement, by the time of the incident, officers from Police Department No. 1 of the Kamianske District Administration had completed their patrol of the area. After this, a conflict erupted between the police and a group of local residents. Law enforcement emphasize that the confrontation arose only after the planned work on the sector had ended, and not at the moment of a detention.

Course of the conflict and the collision

According to the police version, during the altercation one of the men began hitting the official vehicle, while another local resident lay down on the asphalt, trying to obstruct the movement of the car and, as stated in the statement, the “mobilization” of his acquaintance. While reversing, the patrol officers ran over the man who was on the road. Condition of the injured

As a result of the accident, the man sustained bodily injuries. According to preliminary information, these are severe injuries to the spine and both legs.
