The Ukrainian dub of Warner Bros.' animated film 'The Cat in the Hat' has added two prominent names to its cast. Singer Kazhanna and TV presenter Lyudmyla Barbir, known to audiences as a host on the '1+1 Ukraine' TV channel, have joined the voice cast. Viewers will be able to hear the artists' voices in cinemas as early as the beginning of November, with pre-premiere screenings starting on October 31, 2026.

Who's Behind the Voices: Singer and TV Presenter

Kazhanna has voiced one of the film's female characters. The creators are keeping the character's name under wraps for now, inviting audiences to discover it during the screening. The singer herself described the film as follows: 'This is a story about imagination, mischief, adventures, and the kind of chaos that sometimes even adults need.' Lyudmyla Barbir is already familiar with voice acting for animated characters: previously, she lent her voice to Dynamite in the animated film 'Planes: Fire & Rescue'.

Plot: A Mission That Could Cost a Hat

The new story focuses on one of Dr. Seuss's most famous characters. This time, the Cat receives a crucial assignment from the Institute of Incredible Imagination and Inspiration—to help siblings Gabby and Sebastian, who are struggling to cope with moving to another city. However, the character, capable of turning any task into chaos, risks going overboard once again: if the mission fails, he could lose his magical hat.

Directing and the Ukrainian Version

The film is directed by Alessandro Carloni, who worked on 'Kung Fu Panda 3', and Erika Rivinoja. In the Ukrainian version, the main character is voiced by Pavlo Skorohodko. Thus, the familiar image of the Cat beloved by fans is joined by the voices of two Ukrainian artists, making the dub one of the notable events of the autumn animation box office.
