On the morning of August 5, Russian forces launched an attack on Kharkiv using "Banderol" drone-missiles. As a result of the attack, at least eight people were injured, and civilian facilities and private homes were damaged.

According to data obtained by RBK-Ukraine from the Telegram channel of Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, an enemy missile hit the Novobavarskyi district of the city. The target of the strike was a civilian enterprise. Five people were injured in this district.
The second strike hit the Holodnohirskyi district — a missile hit the territory of a private residential property. As a result, neighboring houses and several cars were damaged. Three people were injured here.
