On August 24, «Kolir.Spilnota» is officially launched in Ukraine — an online volunteering platform created by the branding agency «Kolir». The initiative is addressed to two sides that have so far been working in a vacuum: on one hand, specialists who are ready to help with their professional skills but do not know where exactly to turn; on the other — military units and charitable organizations that often lack the time and resources to independently search for designers, developers, and marketers. The platform acts as a connecting link, turning one-off spontaneous gestures of help into a systematic, manageable process.
How volunteering works on the platform
At launch, «Kolir.Spilnota» focuses on four areas: UI/UX design, graphic design, frontend, and backend. To join, a specialist simply needs to use the dedicated page for volunteers and submit an application. Once it is processed, a manager grants access to a closed Telegram channel where verified tasks appear. The volunteer independently chooses a task, assessing the time required to complete it and the necessary skill level — this can be done with practically a single click. Almost all requests provide for a remote work format, which is especially important for Ukrainians abroad. By agreement, a completed project is added to the volunteer's portfolio, and the official expressions of gratitude and certificates from the organizations record the person's contribution so that the help does not remain invisible and can be remembered even many years later.
What is offered to clients
For organizations that need help, the platform has a separate page for clients, through which they can submit their own request — from a small standalone task (a logo, an illustration, social media design) to large-scale projects such as identity design, UI/UX design, or a website. To start, the client needs to briefly describe the organization, the expected result, and the deadline. Next, a «Kolir.Spilnota» manager verifies the application through communication in Telegram, helps correctly formulate the task, and selects a specialist. In the future, the team plans to expand the list of professions, involving copywriters, marketers, and representatives of other specialties.
From a battalion's identity to a systematic platform
The idea of the project grew out of the agency's practical experience. "When we helped update the identity of the First Separate Medical Battalion or the Strichka community, it became obvious that there are many specialists ready to support Ukraine with their professional skills, but they do not always know where to turn. 'Kolir.Spilnota' is meant to solve this problem," says Alexander Lymarchuk, founder of the branding agency «Kolir». It was precisely these cases that showed that scattered initiatives can be combined into a single structure with a clear process.
A coordinator, not a bulletin board
The key difference between the platform and familiar freelance exchanges or bulletin boards is the role of the «Kolir.Spilnota» team as an intermediary and coordinator between the volunteer and the client. The platform supports both sides throughout the execution of the task, ensuring the quality of the final result, rather than simply publishing a list of vacancies. Thus, the August 24 launch is positioned as a step toward making online volunteering systematic and accessible to all Ukrainians, including those abroad, and turning professional skills into measurable and recognized help for society.
