At 10:35, Klitschko also reported that air defense systems were operating on the right bank of the capital and urged residents to remain in safe places.

The Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) clarified that a medical facility was damaged in the Shevchenkivskyi district as a result of the attack. The mayor added that the six-story residential building hit by the drone suffered partial structural damage, while a three-story building nearby caught fire. In addition, in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district, a fire broke out on the grounds of an educational institution following the enemy attack. Meanwhile, "Ukrzaliznytsia" (Ukrainian Railways) stated that no hits on railway infrastructure in central Kyiv had been recorded.
Casualties and medical assistance
The number of casualties changed throughout the day as data came in from the strike sites. According to Klitschko, the injured were hospitalized in city hospitals, while the rest received outpatient care. The mayor separately reported that some windows were shattered in a damaged room of one of the medical facilities, but, according to preliminary data, no patients or staff members were injured.

Official statements from the parties show discrepancies in the figures on the number of casualties, reflecting the staged nature of information gathering. Initially, the KCMA reported three casualties as a result of the enemy attack. Later, Vitali Klitschko indicated that the number of injured in Kyiv had risen to up to four, and this figure was then updated to five people, three of whom were in hospitals. Thus, the version of "three" and the version of "five" casualties coexist in official communications depending on the time of their publication; the final tally had not been fixed as definitive at the time of preparing this material.

The September 2 strike was a continuation of a series of attacks on Kyiv. That same morning, a fire broke out in the capital following a strike, which was fought in the Holosiivskyi district. The day before, on September 1, Russia also hit Kyiv with drones: the upper floors of a 16-story building were burning in the Podilskyi district. On that same day, the enemy attacked Vyshneve in Kyiv Oblast with drones, as a result of which two townhouses were destroyed in the city.
