Residents and guests of the capital of Ukraine are warned about significant changes in traffic conditions expected on July 15. On this day, temporary restrictions on vehicle movement will be introduced in the central part of Kyiv. The official notification was issued by the State Guard Service of Ukraine, stating that these measures are taken in connection with the conduct of security operations.

Reason for Restrictions: Visit of Foreign Delegations

As noted by the department, the necessity to close parts of the streets is dictated by the need to ensure the safety of foreign delegations present in the city. The statement emphasizes the importance of drivers and pedestrians taking this information into account when planning their routes.

Such security measures are standard practice during official and working visits to Ukraine. The legal basis for such restrictions is the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated August 22, 2002, No. 746/2002. The document regulates the procedure for organizing the protection of high-ranking officials and foreign guests, which inevitably affects traffic in the center of the metropolis.

Traffic Situation: Repair Works and Closures

Problems with moving around Kyiv in mid-July are not limited to the security of delegations. On these same days, city services are carrying out large-scale repair works that also affect the traffic flow.

From July 13 to 16, traffic is partially restricted on Naberezhne Highway in the Pechersk district. The works are carried out from 8 a.m. and are related to the cleaning and repair of the storm sewer. The affected road section stretches from Podil to the Metro Bridge. Drivers planning a trip in this direction should plan detours in advance.

A bit earlier, from July 10 to 13, difficulties arose on the Southern Bridge. Road workers were repairing the asphalt-concrete pavement of the carriageway, which also required partial traffic restrictions. The shift in priorities from repairs to ensuring the safety of foreign guests shows how dynamically the traffic situation in the capital changes.
