Three rounds of negotiations between Ukraine and US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner took place in Kyiv on September 6, at the conclusion of which the parties agreed to continue the dialogue in an expanded format with the participation of European partners. According to the head of state, European colleagues joined the third part of the negotiations in Kyiv. It was precisely after this, he said, that the parties agreed on a further joint schedule: "It is also important that our European colleagues joined us in the third part of our negotiations, and we agreed that Ukraine, Europe and America will meet in the near future." Thus, the negotiation process to end the war is moving to a stage of trilateral interaction.

Zelenskyy separately held a meeting with the American envoys in a one-on-one format. Overall, three rounds of negotiations were held in the capital of Ukraine on September 6, during which further diplomatic steps and the conditions for establishing a "just peace" were discussed, as the president emphasized.
