Larisa Kadochnikova, a legend of Ukrainian theater and cinema and People's Artist of Ukraine, has publicly admitted for the first time to a severe trial she has faced in recent years. In an interview with the project 'Alone with Glamour' (citing RBC-Ukraine), the actress spoke about the serious illness of her common-law husband, lawyer Andrey.
The star's personal drama
Kadochnikova's relationship with her partner has lasted about six years. Andrey is 25 years younger than the famous actress, yet age has not been an obstacle to their deep feelings. The last four years have been a time of severe trials for the couple: the man's health deteriorated sharply, and he became very seriously ill.
Larisa did not go into medical details of the diagnosis but openly shared her emotions. For her, this has become a deep personal pain.
"It is sad to say, but the fact is that my husband Andrey, a lawyer, is very seriously ill. I wish him only one thing — recovery. This is my pain. I love him very much, but he is very seriously ill. I think only of one thing: that he lives, remains such a wonderful person! And I need courage! He has been ill for four years," the actress confessed.
The path to fame and personal life
Larisa Kadochnikova gained widespread popularity thanks to the role of Marichka in Sergei Parajanov's immortal film 'Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors'. For many years, she was the leading actress of the National Academic Theater of Russian Drama named after Lesya Ukrainka.
The star's personal life was also rich and dramatic. Her first husband was the famous director and cinematographer Yuri Ilyenko. Later, she married Mikhail Saranchuk, who headed the Lesya Ukrainka Theater. After his death, Andrey appeared in the actress's life, with whom she lives in a common-law marriage.
Today, Larisa Kadochnikova asks fate for only one thing — the strength and courage to endure this difficult period and the hope that her loved one will be able to recover.
