Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made a series of sharp statements regarding the current geopolitical situation during a recent speech. According to him, "the entire civilized world has united against Russia," and this situation requires the utmost seriousness. The minister made this statement, as reported by RBC-Ukraine citing TASS.
"Disintegration" of Russia and the Role of the West
Lavrov stated that Western countries are waging war against the Russian Federation through Ukraine with varying degrees of "ferocity." In his opinion, the main goal of the West is to turn the Russian population against the current authorities and achieve the "disintegration" of the country in the shortest possible time.
At the same time, the Foreign Minister attempted to explain Ukraine's successes on the front. According to his version, the turning point in the war achieved by the Kyiv side in recent months is exclusively due to the merit of Kyiv's allies, and not the result of the actions of the Ukrainian military themselves.
Ultimatums and "Healthy Anger"
In his speech, Lavrov reported that Ukraine's allies are issuing ultimatums to Moscow regarding the end of the conflict. However, according to him, the Kremlin does not intend to make concessions. Instead, the Foreign Minister called on the Russian leadership not to "get angry and fall into hysterics," but to acquire so-called "healthy anger" in foreign policy.
The Baltics and Nuclear Weapons
Lavrov paid special attention to the Baltic states, calling them the "main warheads" in the confrontation with Russia. According to the minister, the Kremlin is extremely concerned that these states are lifting the ban on the deployment of nuclear weapons on their territory.
These statements continued a series of comments by Russian leaders on the course of the conflict.
