"Naval Parade" in Yalta: How GUR Special Forces Held "City Day" for the Occupiers

"Thus, GUR special forces restored an old festive tradition that arose and became established in free Yalta — the congratulatory appearance of Ukrainian warships and vessels near the city embankment," the official statement of the department reads. The operators emphasized that this "parade" is another reminder to Russian occupiers that Crimea is Ukraine.

Course of the Operation and Reaction of Occupation Authorities

Magura marine drones, equipped with combat modules, were spotted in the Yalta waters on the afternoon of August 7. Sounds of gunfire were heard in the city, causing panic among the population. Earlier, occupation authorities had warned residents about the danger of unmanned boats appearing, however, the warning could not prevent the attack.

Video published by the GUR shows operators controlling the drones in close proximity to the shoreline. The use of such platforms allows for precise strikes on critical infrastructure and military objects without putting personnel at risk.

The "Naval Parade" in Yalta was not an isolated event. On the night of August 7, large-scale fires broke out at the "Gvardeyskoye" military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea.
