On the evening of September 9, 2026, the name of Ukrainian singer Nastya Kamenskaya appeared in the database of the “Myrotvorets” center for researching signs of crimes against Ukraine's national security. The artist's inclusion in the dossier came in the wake of a high-profile interview she gave to Russian journalist Ekaterina Gordeeva, in which she made a number of statements about the Ukrainian language and her own patriotism. Information about the addition to the database was revealed by the entertainment project Styler (RBC-Ukraine), citing “Myrotvorets” itself.
What Is Stated in the “Myrotvorets” Dossier
According to data provided by Styler citing the organization, the dossier accuses the singer of provocations, participation in acts of so-called “humanitarian aggression” against Ukraine, and in information and propaganda campaigns that, according to the database's compilers, are aimed at destabilizing public life in the country. It is important to emphasize: “Myrotvorets” is a private resource with its own system for evaluating public actions and statements, and the mere fact of a person's appearance in its database is not a court decision or an official finding of guilt.

The trigger for a new wave of criticism was an interview in which Kamenskaya said that after the start of the full-scale invasion, she had been communicating exclusively in Ukrainian for about six months. According to her, it was during this period that she developed voice problems, and doctors discovered a cyst, which forced her to cancel concerts. “I switched to the Ukrainian language and spoke exclusively in Ukrainian for six months. And, believe it or not, I developed a cyst and lost my voice. Honestly, I didn't even know what to do, and I canceled the concerts. And my psychologist told me: ‘Go back to Russian, your body doesn't accept this,’” Styler quotes the singer. The artist explained the situation through the lens of psychosomatics.
“I Am Not a Patriot”: Statement on Language and Patriotism
In the same conversation, Kamenskaya stated that the language issue in Ukraine had become overly politicized, and added: “Of course, Ukraine should 100% speak in the Ukrainian language, but I myself want to decide in which language to speak and sing.” Even more resonant was her admission that she does not consider herself a patriot of Ukraine, because for her the personal is more important than the public.
