On July 24, the Odesa region was struck again. Russian occupiers carried out a series of attacks both at night and during the day, targeting civilian infrastructure and residential areas. According to the latest reports, civilians were injured as a result of the shelling.

Strikes on the Izmail district

An air raid alert was declared in the Izmail district around 11:09. Just a few minutes later, at 11:33, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Kiper, confirmed the fact of a new attack by Russian invaders.

Civilian infrastructure came under fire. In particular, a furniture store was damaged. Preliminary data indicates that one person was injured as a result of the incident.

Consequences of the night attack

Last night, the enemy launched a massive attack on the region using missiles and unmanned combat aerial vehicles (drones). The strikes hit the housing sector and industrial facilities.

According to updated data from Oleksandr Kiper, the roof of a multi-story residential building was damaged by a direct hit. Private houses and passenger cars were also targeted. A woman and a 4-year-old child required medical assistance.

In addition to residential buildings, the territory of one of the enterprises was damaged. Fortunately, there were no civilian casualties at this facility. All fires resulting from the attacks were promptly extinguished by rescuers.

Situation in other regions

The attack on Odesa occurred against the backdrop of a deterioration of the situation in other parts of Ukraine. Earlier, it was reported that on the afternoon of July 24, Russia struck Kyiv with a ballistic missile. Consequences of a new enemy attack on the Chernihiv region have also been recorded.
