Starting October 1, a new Medical Information Service will begin operating in Kyiv, designed to help residents navigate the capital's healthcare system. Citizens will be able to find out where to receive necessary medical services, check the working hours of municipal medical institutions, and learn about procedures available free of charge under state programs.
Patient Navigation and Routing
The main task of the new service is to provide informational support and coordinate citizens. Hotline operators will help build the correct route for receiving medical care, suggest which specialized institution to contact in a specific situation, and explain the further algorithm of actions. However, it is important to note that the service does not provide medical consultations and does not make appointments with doctors.
Feedback and Quality Control
In addition to navigation functions, Kyiv residents will be able to use the new service to leave official feedback, gratitude, or complaints about the work of municipal medical institutions. Specialists accept appeals regarding problems with making appointments, inappropriate communication by medical staff, and cases of demanding money for services or medicines covered by the Medical Guarantees Program.
