«Ukrzaliznytsya» has announced an expansion of its regional transport network connecting the Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions. New trips have been prepared for passengers, which will be served by modernized electric trains. This decision is aimed at increasing the comfort and accessibility of rail transport for suburban residents.
New routes: Kyiv — Korosten and Malyn
The company has scheduled four new regional trains on the Kyiv — Korosten route and back. When planning the schedule, specialists analyzed ticket sales statistics in the mobile app and considered passenger traffic at key stations. Now, stops are provided in settlements with the highest demand: Chopovychi, Shchebzavod, Vorzel, and Lesna Bucha.
In addition, two suburban trips have been launched in the direction between Malyn and Kyiv. This will allow residents of the Zhytomyr region to get to the capital faster and more conveniently.
Modernization of rolling stock
An important element of the service update was the modernization of electric trains. «Ukrzaliznytsya» continues the capital repair and technical equipment of carriages at its own production facilities. This year, air conditioning systems were installed experimentarily for the fourth time, which is particularly relevant in the summer period.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the 54th capital modernized electric train has entered the routes. This testifies to the systematic work of the company to restore and improve the quality of rail transport in difficult conditions.
Digitalization and control
You can buy a ticket and leave a review about the trip in the «Ukrzaliznytsya» app. Sales data is used not only to analyze demand but also to optimize routes, the number of carriages, and maintain stops.
