On July 27, a new explosion rocked Kharkiv. Russian occupiers struck a gas station in the Saltovsky district of the city. As a result of the attack, at least two civilians were injured.
The incident was confirmed by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov. According to him, at 11:45 he received information that a Russian attack drone had fallen on the border of the Saltovsky and Nemishlyanske districts.
Consequences of the attack and emergency services response
Specialized services immediately began working at the scene. Terekhov clarified that data on the full consequences of the strike is still being collected, however, it has already been confirmed that the target of the attack was indeed the gas station.
At 12:01, the city head provided specific details: an enemy drone targeted a gas station in the Saltovsky district. As a result of the impact on the facility, two civilians were injured. The mayor clarified the nature of the injuries: both were diagnosed with an acute stress reaction.
Series of attacks on fuel infrastructure
This incident is not an isolated case in recent days. Just 24 hours prior, on July 26, Russian forces attacked another gas station with a drone, but this time in the Ozoviansky district of Kharkiv.
At that time, according to the mayor, the drone did not detonate. Explosive ordnance disposal experts promptly arrived at the scene, conducted an inspection, and neutralized the munition, preventing potential casualties and destruction.
Earlier, there were reports of a double strike on gas stations in Kharkiv, as well as an attack by a Russian drone on a fuel truck in Sloviansk. These events are prompting experts to discuss whether frontline regions face a real shortage of gasoline against the backdrop of systematic attacks on logistics and fuel facilities.
