On August 3, the Odesa region was once again hit by Russian aggression. As a result of the new air attack, civilians in the region were injured, and transport infrastructure was damaged. This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Kiper.
Preliminary data indicates that six people were injured in the attack. Three of them were urgently hospitalized. A fire broke out at one of the targeted facilities. Kiper assured that all injured persons are receiving necessary medical assistance.
Tragedy in the Podilskyi District
The situation involving children is particularly alarming. On the morning of August 1, Russian forces struck the city with drones. In the Podilskyi district, a 12-year-old girl and her 6-year-old brother were injured as a result of the attack. The children were urgently taken to the regional children's hospital with shrapnel wounds.
Doctors assess the children's health condition as serious: the girl's condition is severe, and the boy's is moderate. Medical staff are fighting for their lives and providing all necessary care.
Strikes on Central Odessa
The enemy also targeted a multi-story residential building in the center of Odessa. As a result of this attack, the number of injured increased to three. A 30-year-old man received assistance on the spot, while two other individuals, aged 18 and 28, were hospitalized.
The situation in the region remains tense. Earlier reports stated that on August 3, Russian forces also attacked Chernihiv, where explosions were heard in the city. Ukraine's air defense forces continue to repel attacks and neutralize targets.
At the same time, in Belgorod, the Belgorod State Technological University (BSTU), which is involved in drone development, was hit by Ukrainian forces. This indicates that the conflict affects not only Ukrainian territories but also border regions of Russia.
