Yulia Lyushneva, editor of the Styler entertainment project, presented a simple recipe for a healthy treat—a chocolate and pumpkin dessert prepared without flour, eggs, or baking. The basis of the dish consists of just five available components: boiled pumpkin pulp, a ripe banana, dark chocolate, and chia seeds. This culinary option is suitable for those monitoring their diet and looking for unusual autumn flavor combinations.
Ingredient Preparation and Rules for Working with Chocolate
Active preparation of the dessert takes about 20 minutes, but to achieve the required texture, the dish must be left in the refrigerator overnight. The first preparation step is cooking the pumpkin: the peeled pulp is cut into small pieces and boiled until soft for about 10 minutes, after which it is thrown into a sieve to remove excess moisture and exactly 200 grams are measured out.
A classic water bath is used to melt the dark chocolate. Chocolate pieces are placed in a dry heat-resistant bowl over a pot of simmering water, ensuring that the bottom of the container does not touch the liquid. Getting even accidental drops of water into the melting mass can ruin the product's structure, making it grainy and clumped.
Blending Process and Mass Cooling Rules
After preparing the pumpkin and chocolate, the components are combined in a blender bowl along with the ripe banana. The mass is whipped until a smooth, silky consistency is obtained, after which chia seeds are added and thoroughly mixed with a spatula. The seeds not only enrich the dessert with useful micronutrients but also contribute to better texture stabilization.
To set, the prepared chocolate-pumpkin mass is poured onto a plate previously lined with parchment paper. The dessert is placed in the refrigerator overnight, thanks to which by the time of serving it acquires a soft yet stable consistency, making it convenient to eat with a spoon without using a mold.
Dish Presentation and Potential Allergens
Before serving, the finished treat is gently dusted with cocoa powder through a fine sieve, creating an exquisite appearance. Optionally, the dish can be supplemented with fresh berries or chopped nuts depending on personal taste preferences.
Experts remind of the need to carefully study the labeling of the chocolate used before starting preparation. The product may contain traces of nuts, soy, and dairy components, and additional allergens often depend on the berries or toppings chosen for decoration.
