On the evening of July 31, 2026, an incident involving Russian strike aviation occurred in the Poltava region. As a result of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the sorting terminal of the company "Nova Poshta" was damaged and engulfed in flames. The company officially confirmed the incident and declared its readiness to compensate clients for losses.

Chronology and circumstances of the attack

According to local authorities and representatives of rescue services, the raid on the Poltava district was carried out by a group of drones. A direct hit caused a fire in the warehouse premises of the logistics hub, which plays a key role in the distribution of cargo for the central and eastern regions of Ukraine.

The strike caused a large-scale fire. Units of the State Emergency Service (SES) promptly arrived at the scene and carried out work to localize and extinguish the fire. Firefighters managed to prevent the spread of fire to neighboring buildings.

Personnel situation

According to official information, no human casualties were reported. At the time the air raid alarm was announced, all terminal employees promptly left the work areas and took shelter in specially equipped shelters. Strict adherence to safety protocols allowed the lives of the personnel to be saved.

Compensation for clients

The press service of "Nova Poshta" issued an official statement regarding the fate of the destroyed cargo. The operator confirmed that it will fully compensate clients for the declared value of parcels that were damaged or destroyed as a result of the attack.

To minimize delays in logistics chains, the company has already deployed alternative delivery routes.
