On the morning of September 25, 2026, the capital of Ukraine suffered another massive attack by Russian forces. As a result of enemy drone and missile strikes, Kyiv has seen significant infrastructure damage, residential building destruction—including a hit on a 25-story building—and a fuel tank fire.
Scale of consequences and casualties
According to official data from the city administration, the number of injured in the morning shelling has risen to 20 people. A 9-year-old child is among the wounded. Eight injured individuals have been hospitalized in city medical facilities, while others received assistance on the spot. Tragically, the attack claimed a life: a 14-year-old boy was killed.
Infrastructure destruction and transport restrictions
The aggressor struck several districts of the city, specifically Solomianskyi and Pecherskyi. Hits on residential multi-story buildings and non-residential objects were recorded. In addition, the building of the High Council of Justice was damaged due to the enemy attack. Due to cleanup operations and the work of emergency services, traffic in the capital has been temporarily restricted in several areas.
