As a result of a full day of operation by the mobile units, 1,799 decisions on traffic violations were issued. This was announced by the Head of the Ukrainian Patrol Police Department, Olexiy Bilyshchtskyi, in his Telegram channel, as reported by RBC-Ukraine.

In a single day of "Phantom" operations in Kyiv and the Kyiv Oblast, 1,799 decisions were issued — nearly 1,800 in 24 hours. All violations were recorded in automatic mode, without an inspector present on site. This testifies to the high intensity of traffic violations in the region and, at the same time, to the effectiveness of automated monitoring. For comparison: an average fixed photo/video surveillance post records a significantly smaller number of violations over the same period, since it operates on a single road section.
The Patrol Police's Position
In the Patrol Police Department, commenting on the results of the "Phantom" operations, drivers were reminded of the need to comply with traffic rules and to approach driving responsibly. According to the leadership, the automatic recording of violations is not a tool for "punishment" but a safety measure aimed at reducing the number of accidents and deaths on the roads. The Patrol Police has also previously warned citizens that fraudsters are sending SMS and messages in messengers on behalf of law enforcement agencies, demanding the "necessary" payment or provision of data, so any suspicious messages about fines should be verified through official channels.
