On July 24, the Kyiv region became the target of a powerful rocket strike. According to the latest data, six people were killed as a result of the attack, and dozens were injured with varying degrees of severity. The target of the strike was a location with defense industry representatives
The Ukrainian Council of Weapons Manufacturers reported that Russian occupiers struck a location where representatives of the Ukrainian defense industry were present. The organization emphasized that the exact location of the participants had not been publicly disclosed, but the fact of the specialists' presence is confirmed.
Representatives of the Council noted that their team did not organize this event but is in contact with colleagues and providing them with necessary support. Currently, competent authorities are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
Rescue operations continue
"A rescue operation is currently underway in the Kyiv region following the strike by Russian rockets. As of this moment, dozens of casualties are known. It is also known that, unfortunately, six people have died," Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.
The President added that all necessary services are working at the site of the impact, investigating all circumstances and the fate of the people. Photos from the scene of the emergency show destroyed houses, roof debris, damaged fences, and rescue workers conducting evacuation and search operations.
Zelenskyy: Russia ignores norms and continues killings
The head of state emphasized that Russia has long ceased to observe any international or human norms and is "only interested in continuing the killings." He also stated that the number one priority for Ukraine is missiles for the Patriot system, capable of protecting the civilian population from such attacks.
