The situation in the border territories of Ukraine and the frontline zone has sharply deteriorated. Intelligence reports that the Russian command has received a directive to intensify drone terror against civilian infrastructure. Priority targets have become life-support facilities and vehicles.
Attack Targets: From Trucks to Gas Stations
According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, units of the occupying army have received a clear order to intensify drone strikes. The list of priority targets includes gas stations (gas stations), trucks, buses, and civilian passenger vehicles. The goal of such actions is to create chaos in logistics and undermine economic stability in border regions.
Armament and Executors
Specialized forces have been allocated to implement this task. The main executors are operators of the Rubikon Center for Advanced Unmanned Systems, as well as external pilots who are part of the line units of the Russian army. The attackers' arsenal includes drones controlled in real time, which allows for flight correction immediately before the strike.
The list of systems used includes:
- "Molniya-1" and "Molniya-2";
- "Geran-Siker" and "Gerbera-Siker";
- "Lancet";
- V2U drones and other similar models.
"Friendly Fire": Errors Due to Low Training
Despite the aggressiveness of the orders, the effectiveness of Russian operators raises questions. The GUR notes that the low level of crew training leads to critical errors when strikes are delivered not against the enemy, but against their own or civilians in the rear of the aggressor.
One of the illustrative incidents occurred in the Kursk region of Russia. Operators of the 1427th Motor Rifle Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces, losing their bearings, directed the "Molniya-2" attack drone at a civilian UAZ "Bukhanka" car. The munition detonated ten meters from the car, not causing direct damage, but demonstrating a real threat to residents of the border region.
Another case of "friendly fire" was recorded in the Zaporizhzhia direction. There, enemy pilots mistakenly hit a pickup truck in which Russian occupiers were located. Such incidents confirm that chaotic drone attacks pose risks to all participants in the conflict, including the aggressor side.
Preaching Fear and Real Threats
Intelligence experts point out that such attacks on their own population in border regions of Russia may be staged by special services. The goal of such provocations is to use incidents in the Kremlin's propaganda campaign to discredit Ukraine and demonize its actions.
Nevertheless, the order of Russian commanders to intensify drone terror remains a fact. This creates a real threat to the civilian population of Ukraine. In this regard, Ukrainians are urged to maintain high vigilance, pay close attention to air raid alerts, and immediately respond to warning signals.
